Speaking

I have presented in conferences, workshops and colloquia around the world, including conferences in philosophy, in medicine and in medical education. In addition to academic and public audiences, I have spoken to various knowledge users in industry and healthcare, including Boston Scientific and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Teaching and Education

I have taught philosophy of science and philosophy of medicine to graduate students and undergraduates in philosophy and in medicine. Recent courses taught include Philosophy of Psychiatry, Morality and Medicine, Philosophy of Medicine, and History of Medicine. I am interested in integrating philosophy into health professional training, and have done curricular work for medical schools at the University of Toronto, McMaster University, and the University of Pittsburgh.
